My Role

During my time freelancing for Le Rêve Catering, my primary focus was developing and refining the company’s brand identity. I helped define a cohesive visual direction that reflected the elegance and sophistication of the business, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. From logo applications and typography to color palettes and overall brand voice, I shaped a polished and recognizable aesthetic. I also translated this branding into tangible assets, including menu designs, flyers, and curated social media content, creating a seamless and elevated experience both online and in print.

Originally called OG Catering, the team brought me in to help refresh the brand and give it a more modern feel while still keeping that classic, luxury vibe. We rebranded to Le Rêve and leaned into French-inspired visuals that felt elevated and romantic, but still made sure the branding reflected their diverse, mixed cuisine style. The goal was to create something that felt polished and high-end without losing the personality and range that made their food special.

After developing a cohesive mood board and finalizing the brand kit, I brought the vision to life across their online platforms. I helped structure and elevate their digital presence, applying the new branding seamlessly to both their website and Instagram to ensure everything felt consistent, intentional, and aligned.

Printing

The next step was to have all the printed materials designed and made. This included projects from business cards to menus to chopsticks.

Menus

For the menu designs, I was provided with the required dimensions and the full item lists for three distinct tiers. From there, I focused on creating clean, balanced layouts that felt elevated and easy to navigate. I carefully structured the spacing and typography to ensure everything was aligned, visually polished, and clearly legible across both print and digital formats.

Printed brochures

The main goal of the brochures was to get event halls and venues to choose Le Rêve for their future events. I created a few different mockups that showed how the brand could stand out in a fun but polished way. They wanted a mix of real photos and modern contour line drawings, so I combined both to keep it visually interesting while still showing the quality and style of their work.

Social media and editing

Since the company was going through a rebrand, I was also responsible for refreshing their existing photo library. I resized, sharpened, and added watermarks to older images so they were optimized and ready for Instagram and the website. We shifted the focus to highlight the food more intentionally, pairing strong visuals with more informative captions. This approach not only elevated their overall feed but also helped build structured, cohesive content for their Instagram highlights.
